WHIZBAL'S BALANCING SCREEN (WINDOWS VERSION)
** It's balanced! With just 3 transaction
entries total to Q's A, C & D in 40 seconds. You'll know instantly
as the balances on the bottom line will "click-in", match and turn
red. [Please note that WHIZBAL balances any manual or computer checkbook

The idea behind WHIZBAL is that checkbook balancing should be simple and fun. Look around at banks, the Internet, and elsewhere, and you'll find that no one else can balance both manual and computer checkbooks directly with just 3 to 6 entries (average). That's because WHIZBAL is a new, patented way to balance using a constant of only two balances and a few exception transactions. WHIZBAL'S EVEN balancing and screen has simplified the art of checkbook balancing by eliminating most individual transaction work, and providing balancing consistency at a low 3 to 6 entry range, on average. WHIZBAL also balances multiple accounts for any kind and any size checkbook.
WHIZBAL'S EVEN Balancing
WHIZBAL'S EVEN balancing is like balancing your bank statement the moment it is produced, regardless of when you actually do the balancing! The bank statement and checkbook balances would have about the same transactions at that moment in time. For some folks, the balances would be the same so they would be 100% balanced without a single transaction entry! Most would be about 95% balanced needing only 3 to 6 transaction entries, on average. That's what WHIZBAL gives you - the freedom to balance when you want, and true simplicity! And, as a bonus it's fun to see the balancing develop with so few entries in WHIZBAL'S screen.

WHIZBAL's Balancing Steps
Here's how simple it is to use WHIZBAL. Refer to the above screen as needed. First, you set up your bank statement balance in QA, and in QC a checkbook balance that is EVEN with your bank statement balance. WHIZBAL'S second balancing step tells you how to get your EVEN balance. Now you are 95% to 100% balanced in 30 seconds with set up of the two balances! If the balances agree, you're in the 100% group and already balanced! If you're in the 95% group all you do is enter 3 to 6 entries (average), i.e. unpaid checks in QA, outstanding deposits in QB, and bank charges/credits in QC/QD, respectively, as shown on your bank statement. With a little practice you should balance in 30 - 120 seconds, except in error situations.

Balancing Difference, WHIZBAL VS. QUICKEN
Why is it that WHIZBAL can balance with a consistently low 3 to 6 entries, when QUICKEN requires so many more entries and work for the same checkbook?
WHIZBAL balances bank statements by using a checkbook balance that is EVEN (or aligned with) each statement balance, and uses only the few "exception transactions" indicated on the statement. For example, assume that a manual or computer checkbook has 50 checks for which the bank statement shows that all were paid, except one. A WHIZBAL user would set up the statement balance and an EVEN checkbook balance, and make only one entry for that "unpaid" check (the exception) indicated on the statement. This would take about 45 seconds.
QUICKEN, however, does not work with balances nor does it use the "exception transactions" shown on the bank statement. Instead, it works with each "paid" check, all 49 of them, which must be "compared" and then "cleared" from its checkbook. "Comparing & clearing" is a tedious pre-audit process requiring a decision for each individual check to determine if it is OK to clear the transaction from Quicken's checkbook. Then, after all that detailed work Quicken would end up with the same "unpaid" check that the statement had already provided! That process could take half an hour or more. Additionally, if an external checkbook such as a manual or EXCEL checkbook were being balanced, all 50 checks would have to be double recorded into QUICKEN'S checkbook, making a total of 99 tedious entries, and an hour or more work compared to WHIZBAL'S 45 seconds.
Balancing Difference, WHIZBAL VS. BANK-TYPE MANUAL BALANCING
WHIZBAL uses the same process as discussed above in the Quicken example. That is, the WHIZBAL user balanced with set up of a statement balance and an EVEN checkbook balance, and only one entry for the unpaid check in 45 seconds.
Bank-type manual balancing, with instructions on the back of bank statements, can't compare with WHIZBAL'S simplicity because, like Quicken, you must perform the time consuming pre-audit process of comparing and checking off each statement transaction to that in the checkbook to determine balancing entries. Also, you MUST balance as of the latest checkbook balance which requires more balancing entries than WHIZBAL'S EVEN balancing. If balancing is delayed the added transactions will further increase balancing entries; and if a month or two are missed, it would be a hopeless situation for the average person since bank instructions do not cover belated balancing. With WHIZBAL, each month is balanced with the same 3 to 6 entries regardless of delays. If several months were missed, you would simply transfer the few balancing entries in QC & QD from one month to the next until caught up, and then update your checkbook.

WHIZBAL'S Screen Helps Find Balancing Errors
It's amazing, but true. WHIZBAL'S balancing screen with its Bank Balance Side (QA & QB) and Checkbook Balance Side (QC &QD) actually tells you where your balancing problem is and the type of entry needed. All is well when the actual balance at bottom of QB equals the actual balance at bottom of QD and they turn red. But, when one side's actual balance at bottom of QB or QD has more money, an imbalance has occurred. You'll find that, as a general rule, when one side has more money the cause is related to: (1) lowering that side's amount by a needed entry(s) in its upper quadrant (A) or (C); or, (2) raising the opposite side's amount with a needed entry(s) in its lower quadrant (B) or (D).
WHIZBAL'S software has specific error finding steps designed to find any balancing error. However, knowing this general rule helps to quickly pinpoint the quadrant involved and type of entry needed to correct an imbalance caused by a failure to make a needed or proper entry. For example, in the above screen if the unpaid check had been missed in QA, the bank side would have had more money, and general rule (1) would have been applicable. Also, if the interest shown in QD had been missed, the bank side would also have had more money, and general rule (2) would have been applicable. Thus, WHIZBAL'S patented screen does more than just receive balancing entries, it actually helps in the balancing process.

It is with great joy that I write this letter
commending you for developing the Checkbook Balancer. It fills every need which people or
businesses need. It provides the average person like me with a more efficient manner
without my resorting to enter every transaction which is the case with other computer
programs I have seen. I found that it cuts in half the time I used to spend manually
balancing the checkbook for our business. I even found myself enjoying doing the task.
This in itself is a novelty.
The program provides the tools to fill a definite

#1 I just finished balancing the July bank statement.
If I am doing it right it's so easy it is unbelievable. I had some doubts about it at
first, but I am a believer now.
#2 I'm a true believer in WHIZBAL. With the balancer I
used to use, I had to X-out all the deposits and all the paid checks, and then see if
things balanced. With WHIZBAL I balanced with just 4 entries! How much simpler can it get!
#3 Just balanced the check
book again with the new (Windows) program and just love it. I am only sorry I
don't need to do it more than once a month; it is so easy and so much fun we
should get bank statements 4 times a month at least.
